The Full Story
Christiana Lewis – Artist, Activist, Visionary
Christiana’s journey began in the instability of foster care and children’s homes, moving through dozens of placements until she was adopted at the age of five. From this early disruption emerged a powerful inner drive—an artistic and spiritual soul lit with purpose. Raised in Orange County, California, mainly in the coastal art haven of Laguna Beach, her adoptive mother recognized and nurtured her creative gift from the very beginning.
After earning her degree in Art from California State University, Long Beach, Christiana followed an inner calling to New York City at age 23. With little more than a suitcase, spirit, and faith, she immersed herself in the rhythm of Manhattan—studying Art Therapy at the School of Visual Arts, working as a fashion stylist, and painting in between. At just 25, she received her first solo show at Christopher J. Haws Gallery on Boston’s prestigious Newbury Street. From there, her work expanded globally, exhibiting in New York, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Laguna Beach, India, Thailand, South America, Pakistan, France, Italy, and beyond.
Christiana’s early life experiences were not just hardships—they were spiritual initiations that birthed a lifelong mission: to alchemize pain into healing and raise consciousness through the vibrational power of art. Her paintings emanate more than visual beauty—they carry energy. Each piece is infused with emotional resonance and intention, activating shifts in the energy of any space it occupies. Her works are live transmissions: holding frequencies of healing, empowerment, and awakening. Viewers often describe a sense of calm, inspiration, or profound connection when standing before her art. These responses are not accidental—they are intentional echoes of the sacred energy she channels into every brushstroke.
Her symbolic, emotionally raw, archetypal imagery reflects stories of survival, transformation, and grace. Confronting difficult topics with honesty and compassion, her paintings have been called “vision boards on canvas.” Through iconic ethereal faces, organic figures, poetry, and layered color, she explores identity, emotion, and universal healing themes.
Christiana is not only an artist—she is an activist, humanitarian, and spiritual advocate. Her life and art are inextricably woven into her work for those without a voice. Through public projects and personal outreach, she stands for trauma recovery, mental health, homelessness, addiction, abuse prevention, disability rights, violence intervention, ageism, racism, sexism, anti-bullying, hate-crime awareness, and the fight to end sex trafficking.
Her message is bold: LOVE IS THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON FOR TRUTH, HEALING, AND CONNECTION. Her platform is rooted in service, visibility, and empowerment for the unseen and unloved.
Christiana’s art is not passive—it stirs something within. Her mission is not to decorate, but to elevate. Each painting becomes a sacred portal: from shadow to light, from wound to wisdom, from silence to voice.
Her purpose is clear: to transmute personal and collective pain into radiant peace—and to remind us that art is not just something to look at, but something to feel, to heal, and to become.
